In our last post we talked about what to do if you have sewage back up in your home. In this post we’ll talk about what to do if you find an insect infestation in your pipes.
Drain flies breed in drains. While they don’t bite, they do spread bacteria and germs. Drain flies are most commonly found in the bathroom and shower drains. To find out if you have drain flies, place tape over the drain opening. If you catch flies, then you know you have an infestation. To eliminate clogs and the breeding area for drain flies, get your drains professionally cleaned. A professional will make sure that organic debris is removed from the interior of the popes.
During March, all sink clogs cleared starting at $89. Call John Stevenson Plumbing at (760) 452-0702 for more details.
